was the man who fired the revolver. I saw him running away from the ricksha. It was a sunny day. Dorft remember if he was wearing a hat. He was running desparately with all the powers he possessed, I don't remember how his hands were occupied. I did not notice a

revolver. If it was thrown by the man I was chasing I must have seen it. (Witness then saye) I did not see him throw the revolver, I did not know how it got into the garden. I had to jump over an obstacle. My attention was taken off momentaryly. He was a few yards ahead of me at the time I jumped over the obstacle about as

far as from me to that pillar in Court. I say I am sure that he

had not left the payement when I crossed the obstacle. When I crossed the obstacle I am not sure if he had left the pavement. From the time I crossed the obstacle up to the time I got to Des Voeux Road I had not lost sight of him. I was then about 15 yards behind. He was then out-distancing me. The distance was then growing. By virtue of Prince of Wales decoration pillars he could not get out of my sight. I don't remember his getting out of my aight. When he left the spot marked by that circle I do not believe I lost sight of him. When I was running on the pavement I lost sight of him for the moment. I remember nothing particular about the rickeha,

I can't say if the hood was up or down. When I first saw the occppant he was in the act of falling. The man I chased was close behind the ricksha. He was stationary for the fraction of a second. The whisp of smoke was between the man and the ricksha. I did not notice any other Chinese standing about. I saw no Chinese firemen nor Chinese Constables. I did not see a Chinese Constable after the arrest. I did not see them in the course of the running. I went back to the scene of the murder. I was not present when the revolver was found. I first knew of it at the Police Court. I did not see 3 or 4 Chinese were in vicinity of ricksha and run across. I did not see them. If it is so shown it is I say wrong. if you say that a number of Chiese ran round the statue it is not
